King's Arms 22 Hall Road Norwich Norfolk NR1 3HQ

Batemans
From its beginnings back in 1874, when George Bateman decided to sell his farm and rent a small brewery in Wainfleet, Batemans has continued to go from strength to strength. In 1998 Carlsberg Tetley purchased the brewery's freetrade, which gave the company the opportunity to develop its pub estate. In 2001 Batemans purchased 4 pubs in the Derbyshire Dales. In 2003 it purchased its first pub in Peterborough, The Palmerston Arms and, in 2004, the King's Arms in Norwich and the Rum Runner in Retford. Then in 2005 the Lord Nelson in Gorleston became the brewery's third pub in Norfolk.
All Batemans pubs sell at least one cask beer and several sell beers from other breweries, especially those purchased more recently which sell anything from 12 - 15 different cask beers. The brewery's beers can be found in pubs throughout the UK and its bottled beers can be found on numerous supermarket shelves.
